Considering Us

Welburn Hall is a generic special school / college for children and young people aged 8 to 19 years with a wide range of special educational needs.



Welburn Hall has a relatively large multi-disciplined staff team who support the pupils both in the school and residential setting.


All staff are well-qualified with a wealth of experience, and who benefit from ongoing training and professional development.


School meals are cooked on-site by our School Cooks under a contractual agreement with the County Catering Service in accordance with national nutritional standards.


The Health Trust provides on-site physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, occupational health and speech and language therapy.


All staff and volunteers have enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Scheme) clearance. 


Parents and families will find contact with our Family Support Manager, Cath McGill, helpful for any queries or concerns about a wide range of education or care issues.

Welburn Hall offers day and boarding places to boys and girls aged between 8-19 years who are identified as having special educational needs. There is a main school, and separate college unit for post 16 students.
