Sensory regulation tools are always available to all learners, and meaningful sensory experiences are woven throughout everyday practice to support engagement, participation, and enjoyment. Our bespoke sensory room is designed to meet a range of needs, from creating a calm and relaxing environment to providing a stimulating and immersive sensory experience. Learners can control elements such as movement, sound, and switches, promoting choice and independence.
Sensory provision can be seen across all areas of learning throughout the school. Our pre-formal learners enjoy messy play and immersive sensory mark-making and exploration. Semi-formal learners engage in sensory storytelling and begin to create their own stories, while formal learners use a range of sensory tools to support regulation and active participation in their learning.
Our on-site hydrotherapy pool enables learners from across all pathways to access hydrotherapy according to their individual needs. We also have multiple trained rebound therapists within our school team, allowing as many learners as possible to benefit from trampoline-based therapy.
In addition, the Riding for the Disabled Association provides weekly equine therapy sessions for learners across all pathways, and our dedicated music therapist delivers weekly sessions for our pre-formal and semi-formal learners.
